I took Alex to the doctor last night. We hooked him up to the O2 monitor and his sats were 81, 83, 81 so certainly not very good. The nurse gave him a breathing treatment and then tested his sats again 91, 86. Okay so a little better but not where they are supposed to be. We got an antibiotic since Alex has a decreased immune system, heart defect, and is post-op. We are following up with our family physician today, hopefully we can avoid a hospital stay this winter. I would even be fine with just oxygen at home and breathing treatments! I am getting real tired of stays at the hospital. It's exhausting!
*UPDATE*
I took Alex in and his sats are staying in the low 90's so for now we are clear as long as his cough resolves in the next 7-10 days. He is on his antibiotic so all we do now is stay out of the cold, away from the public, and lots of LOVE.
