W.

Well, here it goes. Unpopular as this may sound I am NOT looking forward to having Obama as the new president. I remember watching 9/11 that morning and my heart broke, George Bush heeded our call to DO SOMETHING. He made that choice for us to fight evil on their own land and not here amongst us and I believe he made the RIGHT choice. We have been safe for over seven years on his watch but by most he gets no credit. I would NEVER want that kind of a decision needing to be made on my shoulders! There is also one great part of U.S. government and that is the President can do nothing without support from congress so point the fingers at Bush but you better have hundreds more pointing elsewhere! George Bush was sworn in January 2001 and by September we were at war yet our economy over the next years had flourished to unheard of success! We may be in a recession now but we go through these from time to time, I am loving the cheaper gas, cheaper milk, cheaper groceries, diapers, etc. and we are looking forward to finding us a larger home for our family at nearly the same payment we are making on the one we currently live in. There are always ups and downs in the term of a president but I don't think President Bush was given the credit due! Did you know that Bush had the largest influence on the science of finding an AIDS cure than any other president ever? There have been more lives saved by the push by George W. Bush than any other public figure to find a cure.

Did you also know that President Bush met with President Hinkley on a regular basis? Obama has a history of seeking advice from personalities such as Jeremiah Wright, if you don't know who he is or what he has to say.. well it's NOT impressive to me. I better clarify Obama used to seek advice from him as his Pastor, that is until he threw him under the bus during the campaign process.

My eyes just filled with tears with the Inauguration of Obama. There is a part of me that worries that given the same scenario of being attacked Obama would not make the same courageous decision and that we could surly be in for some hard times, even from the words of VP Biden.. we will be tested in the first six months. That statement to me is terrifying. I have not been wrapped up in this whirlwind of emotion surrounding Obama and I was/am a strong supporter of John McCain. I DO however believe it WAS a historic day. Even though Obama is not 100% African American it is a great stride for all races in this world! I am concerned that Obama has never voted for nearly anything but only voted "Present" for most legislature. so in hard times and/or in the midst of war, it will be very interesting to see what he will actually do. He has promised us the world, I have a feeling some will be in for some BIG disappointment.

I really got involved in politics this election cycle. I am not a die-hard but I have very high emotion when it comes to our wonderful country and freedoms. I have friends and family who have served with the US forces and have heard their stories and have seen their photos. I have been moved by the love of country they have had and the support they had for George W. Bush.

I pray that Obama will prove some of us Hannity-Conservatives WRONG and actually turn out to be on that list of great presidents cause we need one NOW!
