The Beginning... It all started when two people fell in love. Kevin and Ashlie were married in October 2004 and were sealed in the temple in December of 2005. We now have four beautiful children Brooklynn, Alex, Lilly and Kamryn. We are busy raising kids, working, and lots of playing! Here is our story as it unfolds in the pursuit of “Raising the Norman’s”
Signing Time
We are HUGE fans of Signing Time. The kids love to watch Rachel and Hopkins and always try to sign along. Our son Alex has Down syndrome and a severe to profound hearing loss. He does wear a hearing aide but his speech is severely delayed at less than a one year old level. We have worked with him for some time to get him signing but only recently has he actually started using it. We watch Signing Time every Monday and Friday and rent out copies from Kids Who Count (early intervention). We do not own any of the videos but would love to start a collection. I also babysit other children in my home every day and use it with them also. The children range in age from 1 yr to 4 yrs of age and all know their basic signs. In all my years of babysitting I have never had more success avoiding the terrible two's than when I started having the kids watch, lean, and use ASL from Signing Time. We absolutely love it and will continue to be a watching fan every Monday and Friday!
