The Beginning... It all started when two people fell in love. Kevin and Ashlie were married in October 2004 and were sealed in the temple in December of 2005. We now have four beautiful children Brooklynn, Alex, Lilly and Kamryn. We are busy raising kids, working, and lots of playing! Here is our story as it unfolds in the pursuit of “Raising the Norman’s”

What a boring day! I have Cayli, Riley and Matthew and they are all asleep now after lunch. The house is totally quiet with Alex and Lilly both also napping. It is so quiet, I can nearly hear my own thoughts which is quite a change from most days. I spent the morning talking to Regence and Utah Valley about a claim that Regence said was not covered because UVRMC was out-of-network so I ended up paying the $433 out of my pocket. Well after a month and a half it turns out, they ARE an in-network facility- DUH and Utah Valley had screwed up with their ID codes to Regence. So now I have to wait until they get the entire thing reprocessed and then also billed to our secondary UHC insurance before they will send me my refund. What a CROCK! They are a lot like the government in a way, they take and want your money immediately but can take their sweet time sending a check your way when they owe you! I talked to the billing lady at Utah Valley and asked her why they can NEVER bill anything right. I just called the other day and had to straighten out my insurance info they had listed. They had Kevin as the policy holder on both insurances and had the primary and secondary switched around. I asked her.. why can't your billing department ever bill anything the right way the first time? EVERY claim/bill I have ever had from UVRMC I have had to call and fix in some form. I told her if I wanted to be in the medical billing field, I'd be sitting in the cubicle next to her! All she offered was an apology. What a stinkin joke. I used to think it was the fault of the insurance just not wanting to pay but I have learned over the last few years will all of the medical bills from Alex that it is 99.9% of the time the provider or hospital's billing department that screwed it up! Another joy of life huh? NOT!!!
